Gladstone Mill (Full)
Gladstone Mill (full) is a two story factory or workshop based on architecture observed in Staffordshire, although in common with industrial buildings of this type to be found in any industrial town up and down the country. Brickwork is true to the original building complete with rough segmented arch detail over the windows and doorways. Window frames are representative of the original wooden frame with a single three pane inward opening top lite. The window frames and glazing included in this kit allow, if you are careful to feature open glazed windows. Consideration has been given to detail of the doors being hinged allowing for a closed or open position as desired. Roof tiles represent Welsh slate wide header individually laser cut slates with broken and slipped tile detailing. A traditional method of roof truss and ridge beam form the roof allowing for subtle undulation across the roof adding age and character to the building. A marked underlay fitted over the rafters serves as a guide to places rows of tiles when completing the roof.
Building is supplied as a model kit and requires assembly. It contains many small parts and is intended for adult collectors and not suitable for children.
